When leaving DMYC for more than a day, or including an overnight passage, we require the completion of the DMYC 66 form, which highlights the key aspects of the trip, personnel onboard and duration of time the yacht is expected to be away from DMYC.

This is in no way curbing the freedom to explore the seas and coasts of the Arabian Gulf, rather more following international convention ahead of stricter legislation for Dubai-registered vessels. We do not require names of guests or exact mooring spts, simply general destination information that will be held confidentially, but which can be used to help locate a missing yacht or person in distress.

All information is displayed in the attached form, and can also be retained as a provisional logbook, if there is not one in current operation aboard the yacht in question. All fields must be filled in, which in turn prompt the captain to put more time and thought into preparing for the voyage, which any qualified captain would do naturally.
