Dubai Marina is a spectacular 3.5km man-made canal, which runs parallel to the coastline of Dubai and has two entry points. The north entrance of the canal is located immediately adjacent to the iconic Palm Jumeirah development, the large man-made island in the shape of a palm tree.
Arriving from sea, yachts may enter safely at either the northern or southern entrance, taking note that there are six fixed road bridges that span the canal at various locations. Each of Dubai Marina Yacht Club’s four marinas have slightly different height restrictions according to the various bridge heights. (more information on bridge heights can be found here
Due to the height restrictions posed by the fixed bridge, Dubai Marina Yacht Club is primarily a motor yacht club, however is happy to assist sailing yachts in any way possible.
Tidal range in the United Arab Emirates averages two metres at spring tide. Approach and canal depths within Dubai Marina are at least 2.5m at lowest astronomical tide (L.A.T.)
