204e United Arab Emirates Entry Formalities - Dubai Marina Yacht Club

By current regulations, visiting yachts (foreign flagged vessels not of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates - all of which face no time restrictions on duration of stay) will have a maximum of 21 days stay in the U.A.E. This duration may be extended slightly under certain conditions, such as for repairs to be undertaken locally. The vast majority of yachts in Dubai are locally registered (with DP, SP, or AP registration as per the Emirate of origin), and face no time restrictions for duration of stay. In order to obtain a local vessel registration, two key criteria amongst others is that the vessel owner has a valid local residence visa, and applicable import duties (typically 5% of the vessel’s value) have been paid at the point of import.
