As of 1st July 2008, all mooring in the Dubai Marina canal has been brought under the auspices of the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, reserving all pontoon berthing within the canal to be exclusively for members of the Dubai Marina Yacht Club.

Bringing together all the berthing opportunities in Dubai Marina canal not only pools resources to offer a more fluid and integrated service for all yacht owners, but also provides a new central resource for all those using the canal to entertain and be entertained.

Three types of membership are available for the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, depending on the members’ prospective use of both clubhouse and berth.

Individual Membership allows both full membership to the clubhouse and the opportunity to lease a berth in any area of the Dubai Marina canal. Only one berth can be held per membership, one membership card is authorised and the named cardholder must be present at the clubhouse to sign in their guests and family, though there is no limit on the amount of guests invited. Corporate membership is designed for the corporate client who wishes to not only share their love of the sea with fellow work colleagues, but use the clubhouse for entertaining and networking purposes. Allowing up to eight named members per membership and the opportunity of up to four berth leases, this type of membership is perfect for either the company involved directly in yacht sales and charter, or with directors that enjoy their yachts being kept in a vibrant environment. Commercial memberships are priced identically as Individual Memberships and are offered to those companies requiring a number of slips for charter, training or yacht sales purposes.

All membership registrations consist of a non-refundable joining fee, an annual fee and then, if applicable, an annual berthing fee dependant on the type of membership taken and size of berth requested.
